Pride and Love

I thought I would share for this was such a good reading!(website below). I am starting to see that me leaving WBC was because their ministry stopped putting the focus on Christ, and was more caught up with legalism, and the world (I guess that is the easiest way to describe it. It started to take the love off of the ladies that were there for guidance and love. Please do not think that I am talking negative about other ministries, I am truly not, I am sharing with you revelations that I am starting to see and the direction that our ministry “The Word” needs to take. Pride has been revealed to me, and sharing my heart with you all, I never would have thought that would be a word to describe it, but it is what it is, Pride. I found this article, and I want to share it with you, “I feel a burden to write about pride, and I want to address the subject in such a way as to be of practical benefit to those who love God and want to walk worthy of the vocation to which they are called (Ephesians 4:1-2). The Bible tells us that “the pride of life… is not of the Father, but is of the world.”* (1 John 2:16) God has made us capable of achievement, but there is an attitude that arises naturally with achievement that is not of the Father, but of the world. To have victory over pride is to excel and achieve without giving a place to this sinful attitude. In this way, it is similar to being a steward over material increase. “If riches increase, set not your heart upon them.”* (Psalm 62:10) You can see at a glance that it is both possible to set your heart upon earthly riches, and it is possible to avoid doing so. The same Father who has made us capable of achievement has also made a way to do exploits and yet possess a lowly mind. “Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.” While this article is so good, and I could quote more, I think it best that you read it, here is the link,

You know I can go on and on in my writing, I don’t want to keep you, but I want you to all know, I love you, It is my truest of hearts that I say this, “WE started this ministry, not me, it is for US to keep it in perspective that it is for HIM that we glorify. I want you to hold me just as accountable as I do you…. If you see any form of Pride or self preservation in me, or any of us, please pull that person aside privately and mention with love to them. They truly including me, may not even realize what they are doing, BUT whether we realize it or not, it is a sin and it is bad regardless.. I never thought that this would take off, but as long as we keep the focus on God, not the world it is a beautiful thing! We all our leaders, as Christians we have our own ministries, our homes and the people we associate with on a daily basis, who are WATCHING you and I, they are determining in their minds right now, whether they want to be part of “Christianity”. It is up to us, not only to give them guidance, and love, and the Word but in the beginning we need to show them that being a Christian is about being in relationship with Christ, NOT religion!

Spiritual Warfare Is Real!

I have always had spiritual warfare, like everyone else does, but I never noticed the intensity until I really started diving into the Word of God! Then it hit, like a firecracker! I see things differently now, I see leaders with a new admiration! To lead is hard, with warfare it can be beyond difficult!  I am reading a book called “Prayers that Rout Demons.” by John Eckhardt. It is filled with Scripture to defend yourself with against the attack of the enemy!

I love what it says about prayer, “We base our prayers on the Word of God. The Word of God will inspire you to pray. Prayer is one of the ways we release the will of God upon the Earth. We must study the Word of God in order to know the will of God. This is why prayer and the Word must be combined!”

God teaches us how to fight the enemy using His Word. The Holy Spirit will open your eyes to see the truth, using the Word of God as your sword! Confessing the Word of God is an intrical part of every believer’s life. Salvation comes from confessing with the mouth. The mouth is connected to the heart. The Word of God released from your mouth will be planted in your heart, Faith is released from the mouth. See how it all works?

Scripture for Spiritual Warfare can be found in the index of most Bibles, the Internet, Books, the sources are all over the place if you look. Where ever you find it, look them up in the Bible, and they must line up with it! Some of the Scriptures that I use are Isaiah 54:17, which states, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I condemn.” Another one that I like is Isaiah 54:14, “I am established in righteousness, and oppression is far from me.”

Your job is to seek out the Word of God, God will make it clear to you and teach you what you need to know, But seek HIM first, and foremost everyday!

To Stop A Monster: Bringing Justice To Uganda’s Kids

human trafficking statistics, trafficking at risk childrenTrafficking At Risk Children To Kill

Thousands of young boys and girls in Africa have and are being recruited to a life of destruction. The boys are recruited to be killers and the girls are recruited to be sex slaves. Their maniacal leader calls them the “Lord’s Resistance Army.” They serve no cause or purpose other than keeping this monster in power over his own imaginary kingdom.

This is human trafficking of the worst kind: taking at risk children and turning them into an army of killers against their will.
This year, 2012, is the year that one man wants to stop this monster in his tracks. Filmmaker Jason Russel released a film 3 weeks ago that has gone viral. “Invisible Children” is dedicated to the demise of the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army and the deliverance of it’s young captors. We at JFY support and applaud Russel’s efforts and encourage you to get involved.

Pride

God is really working on me with this. I never realized that we as humans are such a “see what I did for you,” type of culture, but we are, and I am just as guilty.

God told me to do something yesterday, and I did it. I also did it secretly to ensure that God was given all the Glory, as He should be. Later on in the day, a friend called me and told me about her day. She was so excited because she had been blessed that day, and told me on the phone that it was probably someone at her church that did it. Immediately my flesh wanted to say, “No it wasn’t, it was me.” but I didn’t for had I , she would have been more focused on what I had done, rather than the true gift, and the true source of the gift in which she received. She told me that because of this, she was able to witness to the lady that was riding in the car with her. Wow, two people for the Glory of God! That’s amazing! All in all, she told me of what the blessing had meant to her and her family, which was good. The most amazing part was that I got to see all the things that God could do with a little amount. I was able to see for myself all of God’s Glory! I also had a well needed exercise, of taking the focus off my flesh, and “not about me” scenario.

It was an amazing experience, being obedient to God and seeing all of His Wonder’s! If I could do it all again, I would do it better, so that nothing would interfere with sharing of His Glory! Not a single doubt, insecurity, or feeling that the flesh should be acknowledged. God is so good to me everyday, but yesterday was more amazing than ever!

Thank you God for the privilege and honor of serving you, I only hope that He will use me again real soon.

When Is It Okay to Lie?

When Is It Okay to Lie?

Consider the case of Rahab the Harlot (Joshua 2:4-6). Rahab was convinced that God was with the children of Israel, so she hid their spies in her house when they were being pursued by their enemies. When the soldiers questioned Rahab about the whereabouts of the spies, she said “they went that way”, thus leading them in the wrong direction. A blatant lie to save the spies’ lives.

Wow, How many times have I thought about that story, and wondered what I would have done. Probably, the same thing that Rahab. The Bible says that God did not approve of her lying, even though her intent was good. Rahab was saved by Faith!

As a mom, I can honestly say that I would do anything to protect them. Granted, If it was something criminal that they did, I would not, but as a mom, honestly, there have been times I have lied for them. Little white lies? A Lie is a Lie, regardless. Thank God for his Mercy and his Grace!

John the Baptist said in the Bible that even though he wants to do good, he still messes up. Considering we are all born with a sin nature, sometimes its easier to be evil than it is to be Good. I say this, because, humans have to make a conscious decision to do the right thing, but evil comes naturally to us all. Thanks Eve!

Just wanted to share my thoughts, and ask yours?

Today has to be a better day than yesterday, Lets be real, What was going on?

I can honestly say so far 50 minutes into my new day was ALOT better than my whole day yesterday!~

Woke up yesterday am, with my husband and I not speaking, because of an argument the night before, something stupid I am sure, but once my mouth started running, not much was left after that. It is like an earthquake 8.0 magnitude on the scale, I guess that says enough. So put on the Black Eye Peas to start my day out….. Loudly….

Elijah and I went to the Law Library and had to copy at least 25 pages for this stupid Supreme Court Appeal! Can you say over it???????????????????????

One very exciting piece of news, I got my Kindle in the mail! Oh I love it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will even read to you out loud, so very cool. Well it snowed so the kids were out of school due to snow yesterday. Casual day for them I guess.

well I have alot to do today, will write more later.

Generational Curses

I am reading a really good book right now about How to break Generational Curses in your family. The name of the book is “Break the Generation Curse”, simply written by Marilyn Hickey. I had often thought that there must be some sort of curse in my family, why else would there be 9 generations of male alcoholics in my family? Thats an aweful lot, but I had often wondered why the women really werent affected by Alcohol, but then I realized that alot of the woman in my family had abused medication. I started reading in the bible about curses in Deuteronomy 27 & 28 about the different types of curses, and who actually brings on these curses. Is it God? I wanted to know. It stated in the book, that one of the big curses comes from people who rebel against their parents. I know for me, I did alot of rebelling while I was a teenager, but I think it really means something deeper than that. There is also a curse on cruelty: “Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way.” Deuteronomy 27:18. This is where the curse of violence is started. No wonder the “secular” world even realizes that most abuse is past down from generation to generation, alcohol, sexual, and violence.

But how do we fix this and bind these generational curses? The bible plainly states in Matthew 12:29, “or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. Note that in this scripture, house can mean generation.
So as Mrs. Hickey states, ” In order to break the curse of the generations behind us- their habits, sins, physical weaknesses- you have to go in and bind the strong man who has brought that curse from generation to generation.” Who do we call the strong man in this, Satan is he.
What does she say to say to the devil? You tell him, ” My generation doesnt belong to you because and here is the Key. I bind you in the Name of Jesus, and your not going to do it. See the key is to break that curse, In the Name of Jesus. Jesus gives us much more authority over the devil, than most people realize.
Dont however, expect the Devil to just “go away, because you binded him, he will come again over and over, and you must stand firm, and keep sending him away. You need to have on your armor for Spiritual Warfare all the time! Remember the Devil will try to put a curse on you again and again, but tell him “hey, I am not under the curse, Im under the blood of Jesus.” Head him off at the pass, and dont buy into it.
I must warn you that the Devil will come back and bring with him Seven Spirits, Matthew 12:43-45, the last spirit being the worst than the first, he will head for your children. He has been in your family generation an aweful long time, and he is not likely to just walk away because you broke the curse. Warn your children, that this is coming, and do not let the devil in, remember this is your house, and not his. Don’t let your kids get into alcohol or drugs or immorality and all that other stuff… Keep them close to you, and know what they are getting into… and if you “train up a child the right way, he will go back to what he knows…….
