What do you say about the last few days and weeks of the terrible events that are taking place in the World? The Boston Marathon bombings, the killing of innocent people. People who were all created in the image of God, participating in cruel acts of murder and mayhem! This has been going on since the days of Adam. How do you live in a world that is so hateful, cruel, selfish, and mean? You live in it because you are a child of God. A mere reflection of His light, although we as Christians, often dull our own flame, we never put it out. The light of God continues to slowly burn in us, often like a candle that sometimes gains momentum with the wind when it is fed oxygen, we too burn in passion for Christ. If the wind blows too hard, and blows out the flame; we relight it. The wax of the candle once it cools goes right back into the mold in which it was formed. We do the same as Christians. When life knocks us down, or breaks our heart, we carry on, we get back up, by the Grace and Mercy of God we Rise up! God gives us so many promises in His Word, we are assured by His Covenants! He said in His Word, satan is already defeated! When Christ rose back to Heaven after the Resurrection, He left us not alone, but with a Helper, The Holy Spirit! He is in your heart, and when you allow his presence, in your body and mind. He will intercede for you, He will carry you when your heart is broken, and you can no longer go on. He will tell you that you can go on, when your loved one is gone. Things that seem eternal in our world, are only temporary in time and place. We are not supposed to stay here, we are not supposed to be settled her, this is only a temporary place before our eternal life. So if someone leaves you, or passes on, remember, they were never meant to stay, we all aren’t. satans only hope is that you feel alone, that you do not know the Word, because if you do, you will understand, you will know and be complete I often ask myself, why is it so hard to pick up the Bible and read it on a consistent basis? I have read so many secular books in one setting. Why, because satan knows if I get a hold of that book, in my heart, and spirit, we as servants of the Lord are on fire, and unstoppable! Keep your flame going, don’t let the air of life slowly smother out your flame…. Stand in Faith! Until next time, Traci
