“Entrust your loved ones to me; release them into My protective care. They are much safer with Me than in your clinging hands. If you let a loved one become an idol your heart, you endanger that one-as well as yourself. Remember the extreme measures I used with Abraham and Isaac. I took Isaac to the very point of death to free Abraham from son-worshiping. Both Abraham and Isaac suffered terribly because of the father’s undisciplined emotions. I detest idolatry, even in the form of parental love. When you release loved ones to Me, you are free to cling to My hand. As you entrust others into My care, I am free to shower blessings on them. My Presence will go with them wherever they go, and I will give them rest. This same Presence stays with you, as you relax and place your trust in Me, Watch to see what I will do.” Jesus Calling

Life Is A Chess Game…..
Life is like a chess game, with good on one side and evil on the other. As it states in 2 Corinthians 10:4, “The weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds.” (HCSB). In order to stand and fight satan we are instructed in Ephesians 6:11 to”Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”and with Ephesians 4:14 we are further instructed so “Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.” God gives you every tool that you need to walk in his light. To be the person with Christ-like characteristics is the ultimate goal in life. Loving others is not always easy, but Jesus said in his Word, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (NIV).
So how do you think this chess game works between God and satan? I would imagine that each piece is a human soul. There is never a check mate with God, He always prevails and wins. Although the devil, may collect a piece here and there, Christians will be able to say, “But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.” John 13:34-35. (NLT).
God loves you, and when you believe that God loves you, you begin to talk like God, act like God, and through Faith, it becomes easier to love others. Jesus is very clear in His instructions to us, but if we do not know how to do something, if we ask Him, He will show us.
“ Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. I will leave you with a final Word, it can be found in 1 John 4:7-21.
13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. “

Eternity…
I was readying an article about Eternity and it talked about, “needing to get serious about our eternity.” We are only here for a short time, and although it may seem like a long time, it is only a fraction of our actual life span if you include the time you will spend in Heaven. Eternally!
To talk about how we spend our time on earth, we are often busy and hurried, spending little time with the small things that amount to a whole lot! We are often rushed, over-extended in our activities, and spend little actual quality time with those that we love! Why is that? This is the time we need to be building up our loved ones, ensuring that you have told them and prepared them as much as possible for their eternity, their salvation. Are your children saved? Have they been baptized? Have they given their life to Jesus? These are the things we are to do, much more important than band or soccer practice!
Charles Stanley said it best, ” Millions of people know nothing about Jesus, and we’re the ones God has commanded to take the message to them. Both corporately as the church and individually in our spheres of influence, we have the responsibility, to go and make disciples of all nations. (Matt 28:19).”
God said we are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). “When light enters the room, it drives out darkness.” We are also the salt of the earth. (Matt 5:13). “Salt adds flavor and preserves food from corruption.” Some will want what you have because they will see and feel the love, joy and peace in your world, and then there will be others who are like salt to a wound. However they respond, you keep spreading the message, God will let you know when to stop. (When you are with Him, in Eternity.)
We are to be teachers, teaching others to observe all that He commands. (Matt 28:20). “We often focus on getting people through the door of salvation, then leave them standing alone on the threshold.” After accepting Christ, the real teaching begins, teaching them the truths and ways of God.
We are also to warn others of the consequences of having a life without Jesus. Their eternal destiny is at stake! Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, and He will show you the way! We do have a tremendous responsibility to share the Word with others, it is not hard, and so worth it, after all, didn’t Jesus die for you to have the ability to do so?

Transparency….
I decided to write this article on a topic very near and dear to me, the struggles of Addiction. There are so many kinds of addictions out there, we are a world of hurting people but the main one I am going to address is addiction to prescription medicine. We all have our demons, and our “crosses to bear” in life, and this was one of mine. I am happy to say that the last time I went on a binge was in 2004. A doctor once told me, your type of addiction is one of the hardest to beat, because we will experience pain in life, and will most likely need at one time or another, to use pain medication. He is absolutely correct in saying this, because you do, and I pray my way through each and every time. The thing with Alcoholism is that if a person does quit, he never has to have a drink of alcohol again, period. It’s a conscious decision, but with prescription medication, it’s like playing Russian roulette.
My addiction started in 2002 right after the death of my younger brother Daniel. I was in so much pain, and so angry with God for taking him from me, that pills is where I turned. The old saying in Narcotic’s Anonymous is, “One is too many, and a thousand is never enough.” It is true, a person who has an addiction is looking for that little place within to hide, to feel the euphoric effects of the medication to escape. Little do they realize that your body while it is being damaged from the other ingredients in the medication, is building a tolerance, so the addict never really ever reaches that feeling of the first high again. You just keep taking more and more until you either run out of medication, or overdose. I would honestly say that it is safe to say that most people who overdose on pills never planned for it to happened that day, its just a dangerous consequence to the dice that you are rolling. I came close to it twice.
There is hope, there is faith that a person will get better. It is through the love, mercy and grace of Jesus that it happens. The first step is a person must admit to themselves that there is a problem, and that they want to stop. Until that happens, I repeat, until that happens, there is not much anyone can do to help that person. They must want to get better, it is just like a tiny mustard seed of faith, thats all it takes is the will to get better. I truly believe God will take care of the rest. Rehabilitation usually is necessary, and I mean in-house. To me, outpatient recovery is extremely difficult, because there are so many temptations to get back to. The doctor shopping, the people that enable you to use more are all there waiting for you to fall. It is far, far too easy to get a doctor to write a prescription for pain medicine. I had a doctor that use to write me prescriptions for 120 Percocets at a time, simply because I told him my back was hurting. It takes less than a week to become addicted to Percocet. A family must not, I mean it, must not enable the addict to not get better. Feeling sorry for them, financially supporting their habit is a death wish! Sorry to be so blunt, but it is often well meaning family that get in the way of recovery. There is nothing to be ashamed of, cover up, or hide from, addiction could happen to any single person if the conditions are favorable. Often times, a family member must allow them to hit bottom before they get help. Getting high is an escape, and until the core of the problem of what they are escaping from is dealt with, why wouldn’t they not want to stay high?
There are several organizations that can help, Celebrate Recovery is a Christian based 12 step program that meets in the church weekly with a support group, and a Sponsor. A Sponsor is a person who has been in recovery for years and walks side by side with the person who is trying to get clean. This I recommend first, then there is Alcoholic’s Anonymous, and Narcotics Anonymous. The family is encourage to get support as well from Ala-Non. A person who does not use alcohol can go to AA, in fact, that is what I preferred, an addiction is an addiction. Ala-non is the same concept but for the family, to teach them how to help their loved one, but most importantly how not to enable. You must take that serious, a person who is enabled by loving, well wishing people may not recover!
Above all, most importantly give it all to God. He is the one who will guide your steps toward recovery. Ask for forgiveness from your sin, in which it is a form of Idolatry. I am always here to answer questions, or help you along the way if you want to get better, or need some honest answers.
You might be thinking, why did I write this article? God told me this morning, ” I did not bring you out of your addiction, to not share and help other people.”

Wanted to Share My Notes from the Book “Prayers that Rout Demons.”
Prayer and confession of the Word are two of the most powerful weapons we have. You will see a great release of God’s power when they are combined.
We are told to pray with all kinds of prayers. (Eph 6:8)
We should pray with understanding. ( 1 Cor. 14:15). Understanding the will of God helps us pray correctly. The Word of God is the will of God.
Prayer also helps us walk perfectly and completely in all the will of God. (Col. 4:12)
The words we speak are spirit and life. (John 6:63). We need to articulate the thoughts of God by praying and confessing His Word. (Isa. 55:8).
The thoughts of God are peace and prosperity. (Jer. 29:11)
Our faith is a key to seeing miracles and breakthrough on a consistent basis. Whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will received. (Matt 21:22)
We are encouraged to call upon the Lord. He has promised to show us great and mighty things. (Jer. 33:3). The Lord delights in our prayers. He delights in answering them. Before we call, He will answer. (Isa 65:24). The Lord’s ears are open upon the prayers of a righteous. (1 Pet 3:12)
He is near to all who call upon Him. (Ps. 145:19) God will not turn away your prayer. (Ps. 66:20)
Keys represent the authority to lock (bind) or unlock (loose). Prayer and confession are two of the ways we use this authority.
Bind the works of darkness which include sickness, disease, hurt, witchcraft, poverty, death, destruction, confusion, defeat and discouragement. We can loose others by prayers. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. We can loose ourselves and others from many things by using our authority through prayer and confession.
We must take the sword of the Spirit and pray with all prayer. (Eph. 6:12-18)..
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)
We can destroy them that hate us. (Ps. 18:40).
Israel was sent into Canaan to destroy different nations, which are pictures of kingdoms that possessed the land. Each kingdom represented a different type of stronghold God wanted His people to destroy.
We must remember there are more of us, than of them. The forces of light are far superior to the forces of darkness. Jesus is the Lord of the Armies. The armies of heaven are fighting with the armies of Earth. Releasing the angelic armies of heaven is an important strategy in warfare.
Section 5: Experiencing Deliverance and Release
God answers the cries of his people. God’s deliverance is always a sign of his Grace and Mercy.
We can exercise power and authority for our own lives. Jesus told us to cast out the beam from our own eye. (Luke 6:42). The term cast out is the same word used in reference to casting out demons. (ekballo).
Those who experienced deliverance either came or were brought to Jesus. Someone had to take the initiative. It begins with a decision. You must open your mouth. Your deliverance is as close as your mouth.
Your words and prayers have tremendous power to destroy the works of darkness.
The works of darkness encompass sin, iniquity, perversion, sickness, death, destruction, curses, witchcraft, sorcery, divination, poverty, lack, strife, lust, pride, rebellion, fear, torment, and confusion. We have legal authority to put a stop to these things in our lives, and in the lives of those we minister too.
Where Would I Be?
It is such a humbling experience to sit and watch God’s majestic beauty in power
as the ocean constantly in motion. It’s the little things that we often are too
busy to notice. Have you done everything you wanted to do today? I am learning
its not about things, or possessions that we should work for, its about people!
Loving people with such an innocence of a small child. No alterior motives, no
needs to be met, just simply enjoying another person. We are all created for
interaction and relationships with other people. I have heard that we as humans
work our whole life for the gold mine at the end of the rainbow, but during that
time it is easy to become strained in the one’s you love. That is Satan’s
tactic. He is slow, and patient to keep hammering and chiseling away at your
heart and soul
I sit and thank about where I was, and where I was before
God saved me! Where would I be without your grace? Life is precious and fragile,
I learned that when I lost my brother. I don’t want to spend my whole life
chasing a dream, if I don’t have someone to share it with. I have learned the
difference between happiness and Joy! Grace and Mercy are the key component in
this world. You came to my rescue, I have grace that restores, grace that
redeems, grace that releases me to worship you wholeheartedly. Miracles! Joy is
what I feel when I am talking with you! After finding out what Joy is, I don’t
care if I ever experience another blessing, you are sufficient! You are my King!
Jesus, there is so much healing and peace in just saying your name! Thank you
for you love, friendship, grace, and mercy!
Peace,
Traci
